Edward Lee

CHEF

Originally from NYC, Edward opened a Korean inspired restaurant when he was 25 called Clay. Since then he has opened numerous restaurants including 610 Magnolia, Succotash Prime and other. In the past 27 years of his career, he was garnered many accolades including a James Beard award for Writing, a James Beard Finalist nomination for Best Chef, a daytime Emmy nomination, a Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Award for his non-profit work and more. With Nami, he returns to his Korean roots to rediscover the cuisine he has loved since his earliest memories.

He is most proud of his karaoke performance of “Suspicious Minds.”

Breanna Baker

EXECUTIVE CHEF

Breanna grew up in Michigan where she started cooking at a very young age. She moved to Louisville in 2016 to attain an Associate’s in Culinary Arts and a Bachelor’s in Hospitality Management at Sullivan University. She worked at 610 Magnolia and quickly rose through the ranks in her 5 years there. Her new role as Executive Chef at Nami bridges her love for modern cuisine and technique with the traditions of Korean cuisine.

Her go to Karaoke song is “No Scrubs” by TLC.

Yeon-Hee Chung

CONSULTING CHEF

Yeon-Hee was originally born in South Korea and moved to Louisville in 1996. Previously, she ran Louisville’s beloved Korean restaurant, Charim, which earned rave reviews for her traditional cuisine. Her love and wisdom for the heritage of Korean fermentation techniques and jangs are seen on every aspect of the menu at Nami.

She is not an avid karaoke singer but she will sing one of her favorite songs, “Everyone” by Yoon Bok Hee.
